As I’ve mentioned, I found the FLOSS (Free Libre Open Source Software) Weekly podcast from December 2011 about ‘MySQL and MariaDB’ very interesting.
We’ve been using MariaDB internally and for some customers for over a year now and if any Network Presence customers would like their existing MySQL installation upgraded to MariaDB (which is fully MySQL protocol compatible and can be a “drop in alongside” upgrade), then we’re happy to perform that software server upgrade on your Network Presence VPS, with specific backups and at a time that suits you and without charge to the Network Presence customer for this Database Server upgrade.
Please contact us if you’re interested in this offer, regards,
Richard.
