At an Australian Uni or within CSIRO & need Compute Resources?

Network Presence has a gigabit of peered connectivity in Sydney to all of AARNet‘s fantastic domestic network, across Australia.

As is our network traffic pricing policy, we don’t meter or charge for “Peered Traffic” and thus any data flow to or from AARNet is ‘free traffic’ as far as our billing is concerned, so this means that considerations of network traffic volumes from the point of view of Network Presence billing, can be removed if you’re within AARNet (which is nearly all Australian Universities and includes much of CSIRO and some other Educational Organisations throughout Australia), or servicing customers within AARNet, wrt the use of any of our VPS Plans.

A generalised example of this may be that a Lecturer, Student, Staff or Researcher at their desk within an Australia University or CSIRO Department may need a new Blog online for a project or work, or need 20 CPUs in a Linux host overnight, or any such VPS/VDS need; and they could push data to or from that server at 100Mbps, constantly, and we won’t meter or charge anything extra for that data flow.

Not only is this “deep” connectivity into AARNet (given that we can reach so many Universities and CSIRO departments), but it’s very low latency connectivity to those sites, because we peer with AARNet at high speed centrally from Sydney (where most of Australia’s Internet is hubbed).

So if you have a need to serve content to AARNet end-users, or you’re within AARNet and need some quick computing resources, please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements and how we can remove ‘network cost’ from the equation.

Regards,
Richard.
