We’ve got sophisticated Peering connectivity available to us from each of our POPs and further via some of our IP suppliers, and this means that any Australian University or CSIRO (AARNet) and some other national gov’t agencies, as well as many (most?) other commercial networks in continental Australia, are available to our network via peering routes and seperate network links available to our network from and in Sydney.
Of course, Telstra and Optus refuse to participate in domestic Peering Networks, but their routes are easily reached by direct or other means.

Our AARNet Peering connectivity delivers traffic from any Australian University or CSIRO site to and from Network Presence via non-metered seperate gigabit interfaces and routes in Sydney, but accessible through AARNet’s national network, so data transfers to and from AARNet connected hosts and networks and Network Presence VPS and Colo products isn’t charged or metered at our end.

We have a policy of spending money each month to keep our Peering Links online and providing a way for our customers to deliver content outside of any metering or costs, and many customers have been using our Peering Links for years to backup, transfer and access their data on either Network Presence or AARNet and other Peered networks in Australia.

But especially if you have data within AARNet that you want to provide en-masse online commercially or publicaly, then we’ve got the network for you to do that.
