Because we own all our Infrastructure, we’ve got a number of “second site” customers, and we’ve found a good win-win niche in providing “everything except ‘be live’ but be ready” capabilities in Sydney and/or Canberra.
How customers use this capability depends on their requirements, but for some customers we run custom checks that initiate a BGP “route announcement” for their own address-space and we deliver that to either Colo or on-demand (ie: cloud) VPSes, or other customers use DNS based failover to VPS that are running 24×7, and some use our great performing VPS Plans to run backups or clustered databases and other backends, etc.
