We can now provide customers with a free service whereby we’ll tweet via a customer’s authorised (using Twitter’s OAuth process) twitter feed or user whenever a server or service of the customer is found to be offline from within our network.
One of our internal Nagios monitoring servers is linked to our private @netpresops2 Twitter account in this way and we can do similar at no charge for Network Presence customers, to tweet as a newly created private Twitter account, if they’re IP address or VPS goes down (for example).
There are other ways that this capability can be utilised by customers, so please contact us if you’re interested.
