We’ve offered Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit operating system for some time, but now we can also provide the Windows Server 2012 operating system as well as the MS SQL Server software on a monthly licensing basis.

What’s more, we’re now able to offer the Windows Server operating system for a better monthly price, being $17 / month (was over $30!) and these monthly Windows operating system products and the MS SQL Server product are available at our online store in the Professional Services pages.

Short-notice of Fibre Works in Sydney on Thu night/Fri morning (Oct 17th/18th 2013)

As mentioned recently, we have physical separate fibre paths to the Internet in Sydney, and we’ve just been advised that one of those physical fibre paths (close to the Equinix Data Centre in Mascot, Sydney) is going to be cut and re-joined during some roadworks in metro Sydney on this coming Friday night (and into Saturday morning).

The Works Notice is for a 30 minute outage of this fibre occurring between 10pm from Thursday, October 17th and 6am on Friday, October 18th.

Our network should fail-over to solely use our other physical fibre path in Sydney for Internet connectivity and we’ll be monitoring this Telco-based (being an outage advised by the fibre owner) outage during Thursday evening and awaiting it returning to service and being stable.

If there are any relevant issues during this supplier outage, we’ll post tweets to our Ops twitter feed at https://twitter.com/netpresops
