After a customer had a unique network problem, I’ve created & deployed a few instances in each of our POPs of a “Smokeping & Nagios” Appliance VPS, and this VPS is now available as a service from Network Presence too.
We’ll keep using and refining this Appliance VPS product, but even now it provides a great service for a customer of Network Presence & I think it has promise for others on the Internet who may want the combination of Smokeping and Nagios from any of the POPs of Network Presence, which currently includes Sydney and Canberra in Australia and Arizona in the United States of America (soon to include London, UK).
If you want to install Smokeping & Nagios on your own systems, I’ll shortly post the sysadmin actions req’d to do these installs, to this Blog too.
