Data Centre & POP Maintenance Notice – Tues evening & Wed morning, Sept 24th 2013

During the evening of Tuesday September 24th and into the morning of Wednesday September 25th, we will be performing upgrades to network infrastructure (routers & switches) and selected hosting server platforms of Network Presence in Sydney, Australia.

Customers with services (VPS) on the platforms to be upgraded have already been emailed advisory notices and this is a general notice related to other ancillary upgrades and Infrastructure maintenance being performed during this scheduled window of time.

This Maintenance Window starts from 11pm Sydney time on the evening of Tuesday September 24th, 2013 through to 6am that Wednesday morning, and I’ll be personally contactable by phone & online during and after these works incase there’s any issues that arise.

This will incur a few (3) short (~5-10 minute) outages to the network connectivity and hosting products of Network Presence in Australia during this off-peak scheduled works period.

Our Engineers will be remaining on-site during Wednesday at our Sydney Data Centre to quickly attend to any issues post-upgrades which may arise.

New Web & API VPS Management capabilities coming

Our online web-based VPS Management systems are old nowadays, given that they were first developed over 5 years ago.

Accordingly, we have a project in-house to update the capabilities (more features and functionality), as well as the page visuals/layout (icon use, etc), which will be available in ‘Beta’ to customers who request access to the new VPS Management web pages (which are integrated into our main website now too) from October 1st.

Our in-house JSON-based API is also getting more capabilities (backup, restore, reimage & more) and it will be available in beta form from mid October as well.

Full release of “Version 2” of our Web and API VPS Management systems is on-track for November 2013 too.

Customers are welcome to contact us to get use of these updated systems in the form of access to the current beta releases.
